Barbara Hill
Trustee/Facilitator
Barbara has 35 years experience facilitating groups, with a particular focus on pyscho-social education. She is passionate about working in the areas of mental health and wellbeing, communication, parenting, self esteem, couple work, marriage preparation, new migrants and blended families. Barbara also works with and supports women who have experienced the associated impacts of Post-Abortion.
Barbara was voted Outstanding Adult Educator for the Bay of Plenty by her peers in 2007. She holds a Certificate in Social and Community Work and an Adult Teaching Certificate. Experiential and mutual learning is a guiding philosophy for Barbara in her individual and group work practice.
Barbara roles include working within a psychiatric hospital, Senior Education Facilitator for 'Relationships Aotearoa', prison visitor, and as a Facilitator for women's groups and associated retreats for many years. She is a keen cook, art collector, gardener and reader, as well as wife, mother,stepmother and grandmother.
Barbara is a Trustee for Life A Plenty Charitable Trust, and a Facilitator for the Recuperative Retreats for Women.
